Today is the first day of class!  As ever, I'm both nervous and excited.  Excited because I like my classes, and I think the ones I'm taking this semester will be especially good, but definitely nervous.  I'm always nervous about class, and whether or not it will go well...

I have about half my books.  The rest should arrive by the end of the week.  I put off ordering them as long as possible, because money is tight.  But I didn't want to start behind.

My classes tonight are Critical Thinking and what I call Research Practices or CCT 692 (the full name is long, and I can never remember it).  Both look very interesting and unique; both seem unique, even by CCT standards.  So I'm curious to see what happens.

I'm also in Reflective Practice, which I also took last semester (you can take it up to three times).  I loved it last semester, and am excited to take it again.  I know they were planning to change it up a bit, so it will be interesting to see how it runs this semester.

I think there will be a lot of students I know in all three classes (CCT tends to have an un-official cohort going on), so it will be fun the see folks again.  All the CCT students are really interesting, and have a lot to contribute to class.

The other exciting thing about this semester is that I should start work on my synthesis (final project) for the program.  For 692 we can make our final project a lead in to our synthesis paper.  I have an idea in mind, and I'm really excited to start working on it.  I'll write more about it here later, but I think it will be really interesting, and builds on ideas I've been thinking about for years.

Anyway, here's hoping it goes well!
